It may feel overwhelming, stressful, and a little scary now, but we promise hope is on the horizon.

What If I Think I’m Pregnant?

Whether you’re a Tiger from Eufaula High School or attend Wallace Community College, we’re here for you. Our caring client advocates are ready to listen to your situation, answer your questions, and provide the support you need.

We understand how you must be feeling. The possibility of an unexpected pregnancy is not what you wanted at this time.

If you want to find out if you’re pregnant, come to The Pregnancy Resource Center for a free and confidential pregnancy test. Taking a pregnancy test after your missed period provides the most accurate results. If you’ve taken a home test and want to retest, we can assist you with that as well.

What If the Test Is Positive?

There’s no doubt about it, it’s hard to be pregnant while in school. Pregnancy symptoms like fatigue and nausea make it hard to study. Plus, you worry about what your friends say.

But being pregnant and staying in school isn’t impossible. In fact, staying in school is the best thing you can do for you and your baby.

With a positive pregnancy test, we will assist you in obtaining the necessary documents to access WIC, Medicaid, and other beneficial resources.

Can the School Kick Me Out?

As a pregnant student, the federal government protects you from discrimination through Title IX. Your school must allow you to:

  • Continue participating in classes and extracurricular activities.
  • Make up any work missed while you were at doctor’s visits or in the hospital.
  • Be protected from harassment.
  • Return to the same academic status as before your medical leave began.
  • Make reasonable adjustments, such as a larger desk, elevator access, or frequent bathroom breaks.
